Can't you see me?

History:
Reita's history begins a couple thousands of years back, with one of her ancestors. Her great-great-great-great-great-great-or so grandfather was a rather powerful warlock, whose main ability was making up magical abilities of his own. Most he gave away, but his favorite were kept for his kin only.
Of course, this had unseen problems. When some of the other inhabitants of Akumu found out, they wanted these abilities, and all of his decendants were wiped out- except for one line.
This is where Reita comes from. Her father died before she was born, and her mother, to try to pick up the slack, began a business using her abilities to make a meager living. It would have been enough to support the two of them, however, if her mother wasn't so weak. Retia's mother is spineless-and to earn some more money, Retia took on a cleaning job herself when she was extreamly young. Retia has always been different than her mother. Someone had to be the strong one in the family- the one who would push forward, and not take crap. This is normally the adult. In this unfortunate case, however, it was the child. In her small job, Retia would take no crap what-so-ever. Her temper was enough to make sure her customers paid the amount she was due. Some even decided to help the young girl out, and gave her extra. Although Retia basically raised herself, she did have a sense of responsiblity and loyalty- those who were kind to her would see both these traits in the way of extra-clean laundry, or sweeped floors when she was only asked to wipe the counters. Small stuff like that.
Life went alright for the small family. Money was tight, but at least they got by. Then, her mother did the unthinkable, and brought home a man- Rue.
Let's just say he and Retia did not hit it off well.
The man was a pig- rude and irritating, with no sense of boundries. If Retia didn't clean his shirt right, then he was liable to slap her. True to form, he found out that if he wanted his shirts to not be "accidentaly" covered in muck, he should keep his hands to himself. It wasn't long till there was yet another addition to this family. Retia was cold to the new baby, almost positive the brat would turn out just as horrible as her father. She found out soon enough that rudeness isn't genatical- Hearth, as the baby was named, was like a little angel, and Retia learned to love the pale child.
Yet not even this plesant new development could help ease the tensions between step-daughter and step-father. Retia put up with it, however, until her step-father drew the last straw- scratching out her right eye in a fit. The girl was enraged, and after being healed, packed her bags, issued a promise to come back regularly to her sister, and attempted a break to Yume. She was sick of this place, sick of her step-father, sick of the very aura that covered Akumu.
She wanted out.
And she got it- just not in the way that she had hoped.
Half way through, she got spotted by a slave-trader, and was forced to make a deal. Become a slave, or get ratted out.
Her choice was obvious- and where is this girl right now?
Probably in a slave cage on the way to Yume- her face dark with anger, but eyes betraying nothing.

Weapons: Before she ran away from home, Retia made sure to grab her trident, that had been left by her father. It was something that had been passed down in his family for ages- it's made of a dark metal, with sharped points. It has been magicked- at the owner's will, it will either shrink to a size perfect for hiding up wide sleeves, or as long as Retia herself.
Magic:
Power Trasfer
This is what has been passed on in her family for generations. Retia, and her family before her have had the ability to take power from one person, and 'transfer' it to another, or hold it themselves. The amount of magical abilities that one can hold varies with experience, and currently, Retia can hold fifteen different abilities. However, to 'take' an ability from someone, she has to be in contact with them for three minutes, which makes it rather difficult to take it from them in surprise.
Trasformation
This is a power Retia has taken from another, and is currently the only one she posseses. It gives her the ability to change into anything- although, turning into an inanimate object takes alot of energy, and is usually not worth it.

Sample RP:
A laugh bubbled up her thoat, pass her lips in a ripple of sweet music.
Freedom!
Even the very thought of it mas tantalizing, and a wide smile broke across Retia's face. She feelt the cool, clean air of Yume brushing her playing with the strands of raven-colored hair, and for once, she didn't mind the feeling of it tickling her face.
Finally! Free of the jerk whose hard hand had, in a fit of pure anger, dug into her eye, stealing her sight. Free of her mother, who couldn't do anything for herself. Free of the stink of the lower areas of Akumu.
Free, free, free.
However, joy made her head fuzzy. She forgot precausion, and the sound of her slender body moving through the border caused attention that she should not have been gathering.
"What the hell?" an uncouth voice questioned, and Retia stopped suddenly, her breathe catching in her throat, and heart dropping in her chest.
Oh no.
The man infront of her drove a cart, and from the stench of the cart itself, it didn't take the girl long to figure out what it was for. Slaves. Her nose wrinkled in disgust at both the smell and the concept, but the man didn't care what she thought about his business. He asked another question, this time directed at her.
"What are you doing here...?" he asked, eyebrows creased, wrinkling the grayish skin on his face. Maybe it was the fear of being caught that gave her strength, or maybe she was irritated at his rude tone. Whatever it was, however, Retia gave a bold answer.
"What 'the hell' do you care?" she snapped, eyes narrowing and the man. At this, the disgusting creature infront of her grinned, showing missing teeth. "Ah ah ah, Missy. You're from Akumu, aren'tcha?" he laughed as Retia couldn't help but stiffen. "So what if I am?"
The man shook his head, that horrible grin still on his face, and the girl felt a shiver go down her back, as his gaze raked her slight body and smooth skin. She didn't like that smile. It was...dangerous. Like a viper's smile when he knew he had a mouse within it's grasp.
The man spoke again his dangerous smile leaking eeiry honey into his tone.
"Ah, Missy, you shouldn't be here," he chuckled, and he broke in again before Retia could bite back a retort, "But, I'll make you a deal. Become a slave, and I won't tell anyone. If you don't..." he didn't need to continue.
Retia sucked in a breathe, glaring at the man through long dark eyelashes as she thought. Her mind ran through all the loopholes, but found nothing.
Her breath left her in a whoosh, and she looked back at the man again, her gaze filled with unrestrainted hate.
"Deal." she spat.
